Windows 10 is going end of life and that poses a threat to your business’ operations should they be exploited.
You have until October 2025 to upgrade to Windows 11, which sadly might be easier said than done. Windows 11 requires higher standards of hardware than in years past, with some of the minimum requirements including a TPM chip or (Trusted Platform Module) chip that you may not have if your workstation is more than a few years old. TPM chips help to cryptographically handle security operations on behalf of the workstation, such as when you login with a pin, face ID, or fingerprint, and is a standard moving forward for windows.
My advice, start looking into what machines can be upgraded, which ones need to be replaced, and what software in your environment is not yet ready for Windows 11. The last thing you want is to have some unfriendly conversations with a software vendor or a midnight run to the local electronics store for a cheap fix as time runs out on the clock next year.
